Did your worker do something you don’t agree with? Did DCF say you can’t get Reach Up? You can fight (appeal) the decision.
If the amount of your grant suddenly goes down, your worker may have made a mistake. Or your worker may have sanctioned you. A worker sanctions you when you don't do something you are required to do.
If your worker made a mistake, you can appeal the decision. If you have a good reason for not doing what your worker asked, you can appeal the sanction. You can use this form letter to appeal.
Once the amount of money you get goes down, you will lose even more money after a few months. So, it is good to appeal if you can. You can also make the amount of money you get go back up by doing what the worker asks you to do. It takes two weeks for the amount of money you get to go back up.
