Are you on a BlueCross BlueShield (BCBSVT) Silver 87 or Silver 94 (also called Enhanced Silver Plans) plan on Vermont Health Connect? If so, you should look at the MVP plans for 2025. You could save money.

Silver 94 or 87 plans offer a type of financial help called cost-sharing reductions. This means that the plans have lower deductibles and other out of pocket costs. Vermont Health Connect calls them Enhanced Silver Plans.

For 2025, BCBSVT premium prices increased more than MVP prices. MVP plans offer very similar coverage to BCBSVT for less money. You can save money on monthly premiums if you switch to an MVP Silver Enhanced Plan.

Before switching, check that your doctors will be in-network. Also check that your medications will be covered.

How to switch plans

Between November 1st – January 15th:

1. Log onto your Vermont Health Connect Portal. (Contact VHC if you are having trouble logging in.)

2. Input your information in the plan selection tool.

3. Select and confirm your new plan for 2025.

Or: Call Vermont Health Connect at 855-899-9600 and tell them which plan you want to enroll in.

You can get in-person support with this process by contacting a Vermont Health Connect certified Assistor.

Use the Vermont Health Connect Open Enrollment Period (November 1st – January 15th) to get more affordable health insurance in 2025. You will be automatically renewed into the same plan unless you take action.
