The Limits of Cost Sharing


This paper by legal intern Xavier Hardy explores the research that drives the theory that cost sharing reduces unnecessary health care consumption and ultimately lowers cost. The research is based on the ideas that higher spending does not ultimately result in better quality care and consumers have the ability to make efficient decisions about health care purchases.
